Crissy and her friends, Tressy, Dina, Brandi, Kerry, Velvet, Mia, Tara, Cinnamon, and Cricket -- a popular series of play dolls from the 1970's had extensive wardrobes. They were made by the Ideal Toy Corporation. Some of the 1971 outfits mimic those seen on The Mary Tyler Moore show. As the doll was heavily played with by little girls of our generation, we had been disappointed in the quality of many of the original vintage outfits still available from collectors. So, we set out to make our own new and minty outfits. We spent about 2 years accumulating very close replica fabric from 3 states as a challenge for remaking as many outfits as we could accurately styled from her original wardrobe sets. Some fabrics were created using graphics software and printed on computer fabric.
We have tried to group all of the outfits as we get them made here in "replica" order of issue. We are still sewing duplicates of several of these outfits from remaining fabric.
